Aluroll Secureroll Compact 55mm Roller Garage Door

The Secureroll Compact opens vertically, with the curtain rolling into a compact box above the garage opening. It does not swing outwards or run along tracks across the ceiling, leaving the space in front of the garage and the overhead area inside clear.

Compact 55mm insulated curtain and guides

The curtain is formed from twin-walled 55mm aluminium slats with a polyurethane foam core for heat and sound insulation.

Brush-lined aluminium guide channels support smoother, quieter movement and help reduce draughts. A flexible seal along the bottom slat helps limit rain entering beneath the closed door.

Compact box and low-headroom design

The narrower slats allow the curtain to roll into a box from 205mm where the door size permits, making the Compact particularly useful for garages with restricted headroom or side clearance.

A full box is supplied as standard, with a half box available as an option depending on the door size and fitting arrangement.

Anti-lift locking and security

The curtain connects to a strong steel barrel through Aluroll’s patented anti-lift locking system. When the door is closed, this helps prevent it from being forced upwards from below.

There are no exposed handles or conventional locks for an intruder to target, while the reinforced aluminium guide channels help prevent the curtain from being forced out at the sides.

Automated safety and control

A Somfy motor and control panel operate the door, with two four-button remote handsets supplied as standard. Rolling-code technology generates a different code each time a handset is used, helping prevent unauthorised access through copied signals.

The safety edge within the bottom slat detects an obstruction and stops and reverses the door. An integrated safety brake prevents the curtain from dropping if the motor fails.

The control panel also includes an automatic courtesy light, a built-in vibration sensor that can trigger a 100dB alarm, and a holiday mode that disables normal operation until unlocked with a handset. An internal manual override allows the door to be opened and closed during a power cut.

The Secureroll Compact can be positioned behind the opening, within it, or on the external face of the garage. The best arrangement depends on the available headroom, side clearance, and required drive-through dimensions.

Internal face fix

The door is fitted to the inside face of the garage, behind the opening. This keeps the box and guide channels inside while preserving the maximum clear drive-through width and height.

Reveal fix

The door is fitted within the garage opening. The Compact’s smaller box makes this arrangement particularly suitable where headroom is restricted or there is no suitable internal face for mounting.

The box and guide channels occupy part of the opening, so reveal fitting reduces the available drive-through width and height.

External face fix

The door is fitted to the outside face of the garage when internal obstructions or limited space make an internal arrangement unsuitable. The box and guide channels remain visible externally, and the concave side of the curtain faces outwards, so the appearance should be considered when choosing the finish.
